Phillip Phillips surgery: HUGE stones removed

Phillip Phillips had surgery yesterday to remove enormous kidney stones, according to TMZ.

His stones were so big and massive, the surgery took six and half hours. They were so huge, he never would have been able to pass them on his own. Phillip was under extreme pain during American Idol, due to his ginormous stones. I'm so relieved his agony is over. HUGE. AND MASSIVE.

We're told Phillip had the 6 and a half hour long surgery in L.A. yesterday -- and he is recovering well today. The stones that were removed were so huge there was no chance he could've passed them on his own.
