Academy Award winner Philip Seymour Hoffman recently sought treatment for substance abuse, following a relapse that had the actor snorting heroin, according to TMZ.
Hoffman has reportedly struggled with substance abuse before, and had been clean for 23 years before relapsing over a year ago with prescription pills. This escalated to heroin, which the actor abused for approximately a week before checking himself into a detox facility. Hoffman checked out last Friday after 10 days, and is already back to work on the set of his next film in Europe.
Hoffman credits "a great group of friends and family" for helping him through his recovery.
The actor can next be seen in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire this November.
