Phil Spector Now Looks More Frightening Than Phil Spector - PHOTO

Prison has not been kind to Phil Spector -- to the point where the record producer and songwriter is barely recognizable as the Phil Spector we remember.

It's probably the lack of hair. And wigs.

The photo in question (which was taken back in October of 2013) was released by the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison.

You can see for yourself what we mean when we say the 73-year-old looks almost nothing like the Phil Spector who created the Wall of Sound technique.

Spector is currently serving a prison sentence of 19-years to life for second-degree murder in the 2003 death of actress Lana Clarkson inside his California home.

He was convicted in 2009 after the first hearing ended in a mistrial due to a hung jury.
