Michael Phelps has won the gold medal in what he says is his final individual Olympic race. Read on for the race details and the rest of your medal results.
That old magic seemed to be back for Phelps, in what he says was his last individual Olympic race. He didn't get off the blocks that well. He didn't have that great a turn. At the 50m mark it looked like he might not even medal. His finish wasn't technically all that great either. Yet somehow, someway Michael Phelps managed to touch the wall first again.
That's now 17 gold medals and 21 total medals and Phelps has now repeated as the gold medalist in the the same event three times in two different races. Phelps will have one more shot at gold in the Medley Relay.
Results:
Gold: Michael Phelps - United States
Silver: Chad Le Clos - South Africa
Silver: Evgeny Korotyshkin - Russia
Congratulations to all the medalists!
