Person of Interest - Season 2 Episode 4 - Recap - Triggerman

This week on Person of Interest Season 2, “Triggerman,” Reese & Finch had two people to look out for: Riley Cavanaugh & a waitress named Annie.

Riley Cavanaugh, one of this week’s person of interests, works for a man named George Massi. George Massi is someone who conducts shady biz here and there. In the beginning of the episode, George had lunch with his son Eddie. (Eddie also works for George). Annie, one of the waitresses at the restaurant that George & Eddie had lunch at, is now a widow after her husband/one of George’s former employees passed away while working for George. Annie obviously feels disdain towards Mr. Massi because her husband died while working for him. Since Reese (Jim Caviezel) “force paired” his phone with Eddie and Riley’s phones, he found out that the bad guys were also going after Annie, the waitress.

When Riley, Eddie, and their associate were on their way to kill Annie, Eddie received a call from George ordering him to also kill Riley. Riley (who was sitting in the back seat) shot & killed Eddie and the other guy. Eddie escaped from the car with only a few cuts & bruises. He gave Annie a call directly after the incident, and Reese found out that Riley has been dating Annie for quite awhile now. (Eddie is in love with the woman that he was sent to kill).

Detective Carter (Taraji P. Henson) interviewed George Massi at the same restaurant he was at the day before. She let him know that Eddie died, but George wasn’t too broken up about it. Also: Finch (Michael Emerson) found out where Riley & Annie were hiding out... on the roof of 460 Eckford St. Reese got there just in time to shoot down the bad guys that were sent to kill Annie & Riley. Riley, however, mistook Reese for a bad guy and shot him in the chest. (Luckily, Reese was wearing a bulletproof vest).

Finch also visited Elias (Enrico Colantoni) in prison. At the end of the episode, it was revealed that they had been playing a game of chess.

Riley & Annie were about to flee town by jumping on a train, but one of George’s bounty hunters got there in time to kidnap Annie to bring her to George. The bounty hunters were keeping her hostage at a nightclub called, “The Emerald Pearl.” Riley & Reese broke into the nightclub, and shot down most of the bounty hunters (including George). Reese & Annie managed to escape, but one lone surviving bounty hunter shot Riley to death. After Annie found out about his death, she left to New Mexico.

At the moment, I actually prefer Season 1 over this season. I need something exciting to happen in the upcoming episodes! I need to see something fresh. It’s awesome to see Reese kick ass every week, but the show is getting a teeny bit dull for me. Just my opinion.
