Person of Interest – Season 2 Episode 15 – Video Recap – Booked Solid

The video recap of Person of Interest – Season 2 Episode 15 – “Booked Solid”:

Person of Interest is in a bit of a slump at the moment. The second season climaxed when the FBI quit searching for the “Man in the Suit." As a result, this series is slowly trudging through mud right now. The producers should’ve put an end to Season 2 after Episode 13 because there really isn’t anything left to talk about. (Episodes 14 and 15 have been boring). I’m hoping that the writers will incorporate Elias’ character into upcoming episodes.

The POI this week was a hotel housekeeper named Mira Debrica (real name: Mira Rosie). In 1999, she immigrated to the States after her family members passed away during the war. Petrovic—the man responsible for their deaths, has been trying to kill Mira ever since. To keep Mira out of trouble, Finch (Michael Emerson) and Reese (Jim Caviezel) went undercover as a concierge and as a bellhop, respectively.

A freelance journalist named Charles Harris knew all about Mira’s true identity and ethnicity, but he wasn’t trying to kill her… he was trying to help her. When he invited her into his hotel room to discuss her situation, he had no idea that his hotel room was being bugged/wiretapped. At the time of their discussion, one of the perpetrators was sitting in the room adjacent to Charles’ room listening in on their conversation via a bugged microphone. (This microphone was hidden underneath the Charles’ air conditioning vents).

Six people were involved in the attempted murder of Mira:
  • The first man tried to shoot her near the storage room. Reese got there just in time to handcuff the guy inside the storage room.
  • The woman listening in on Charles and Mira’s conversation tried to shoot Reese & Mira, but Reese out-muscled her.
  • Two other men murdered Harris, and threw his body into a large suitcase. Detective Fusco (Kevin Chapman) arrived just in time to shoot them down.
  • Mira unwisely stepped into an elevator that housed another man inside of it. When the man pointed a gun at Mira’s head, Reese came to the rescue. Reese shot the man from the elevator ceiling vent.
  • Reese asked Fusco to take Mira down to the police station because “she’d be safer there.” She wasn’t. Another perpetrator waltzed into the police station, pretended to be the victim of a robbery, and then proceeded to choke Mira with a wire (when he thought the coast was clear). Thankfully, Carter (Taraji P. Henson) shot the guy down.

The FBI offered Carter a job, but only under one condition: she must pass her polygraph test. She was breezing through the exam until she heard some devastating news about her new boyfriend/co-worker, Cal. The FBI learned that he’s working for HR. Aw, I feel bad for Carter. The worst way to learn that your boyfriend is hiding a secret is to learn about it indirectly.

Also: two men and a woman (who are not FBI agents) are after Reese. One of those men tried to murder Reese, but Reese stabbed him with a knife. And, the woman looks really familiar. I believe she made a cameo in the first season, but I cannot remember her name for some reason.

Finch purchased the hotel, and promoted Mira to Bartender.
