Person of Interest - Mission Creep - Recap

The number that's up this week is that of an ex soldier caught up in a gang. A group of men from the same military unit used to complete bank jobs and other high stakes robberies for one man with zero remorse. Reese infiltrates the gang to get closer to the targeted marine.

He tries to get closer to him to figure out why he's doing what he's doing. He's been using the money he makes to give to the wife of a friend killed in the war. He feels guilty about his friend's death and wants to make sure his daughter is taken care of.

Finchy (which is what I will affectionately start calling him) learns that Reese can't trust the guy in charge. This is made even worse when one of the soldiers gets greedy and wants more of the money for himself, even if it means killing the rest of the group. Reese goes on the final job a little vulnerable and unable to be in contact with Finchy. Worried for his new BFF, Finch puts himself in harms way to warn him of the impending trap. Reese gets them out of it alive..well that is until the boss gets what he wants and kills half of them. Reese encourages the target to leave with his girlfriend and start his life somewhere else. Reese never got that second chance for himself.
