Person of Interest 3x08 - Spoilers: Whose Endgame Is It?

Person of Interest is gearing up for Sweeps week in a big way. They recently aired a preview promo for an upcoming 3 episode arc that is rumored to be a game changer and, we're unhappy to report, may see the end of one character for good.

In the preview, the words "One hero will fall" flash across the screen and we see Detective Fusco (Kevin Chapman) shot, tortured, and weeping. Things aren't looking good for Fusco.

However, could they be playing us? Do they just want us to tune in? Is Chappy a red herring? I've been worrying about his character for quite some time and with the addition of characters like Shaw and Root, they may be looking to change things up. But Rickey, here, has his money on Carter (Taraji P. Henson) being the one killed off.

I "Psssht'd" in his face with my only reasoning that that was ridiculous being "But..she's Carter! They wouldn't really do it..would they?"

As I look at this episode description for next week's episode "Endgame" I can't help but wonder. Why are we getting Carter flashbacks? If there is one thing that many years of LOST viewing taught me...your character getting a flashback-centric plot during a high intensity episode, it's never a good sign.
