'Perception' Canceled by TNT After Three Seasons

Earlier this week, Franklin & Bash was given the ax at TNT after four seasons. But it's not the network's only casualty this week.

TNT has canceled Perception after three seasons. The crime drama starred Eric McCormack as a neuropsychiatrist who consulted for the FBI on some notoriously difficult cases. He also has a history of paranoid schizophrenia, which enhances his abilities through hallucination, in one of the more peculiar conceits in any procedural on TV.

However, the show isn't completely gone just yet. While Perception has been axed, the show will still return for its final five episodes, which premiere on February 17.

The network continues to reshuffle as former FOX boss Kevin Reilly takes over as president and CEO of TNT. The programming decisions so far include the cancellation of Dallas, which rankled a feather or two in the online community. However, it remains to be seen if fans will be as angry about the axing of Perception.
