Esquire has announced their choice for 2014's Sexiest Woman Alive (because yes the year did go that fast) and according to their upcoming issue Penelope Cruz has been given the title.

Yes, Penelope Cruz, you remember her. She's currently starring in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise with Johnny Depp.

The 45-year-old follows in the footsteps of ten fellow actresses who have also been handed the title of Sexiest Woman alive, specifically Angelina Jolie (2004), Jessica Biel (2005), Scarlett Johansson (who won in 2007 and 2013), Charlize Theron (2007), Halle Berry (2008), Kate Beckinsale (2009), Minka Kelly (2010), Rihanna (2011) and Mila Kunis (2012).

Cruz is married to actor Javier Bardem. They have two children, a 3-year-old son named Leo and a 1-year-old daughter named Luna.
