Authorities Confirm Heroin Involved in Peaches Geldof's Death

As we previously reported, the death of 25-year-old socialite Peaches Geldof (daughter of Bob Geldof) was heroin related.

A fact that has now been confirmed by authorities.

While initial autopsy results proved inconclusive, at an inquest hearing today (May 1), Detective Chief Inspector Paul Fotheringham said that Geldof's "recent use of heroin and the levels identified were likely to have played a role in her death."

Said inquest was officially adjourned until July.

In a tragic and painful parallel, Geldof's own mother Paula Yates died of a heroine overdose at 41.

Geldof is survived by her husband and two young boys.
