Patti LaBelle Cast in 'American Horror Story: Freak Show'

The fourth and newest season of the hit mini-series American Horror Story is getting a brand new plot line and a brand new cast member: the legendary Patti LaBelle!

And you thought Stevie Nicks was an impressive score.

According to Entertainment Weekly, LaBelle will appear in four episodes of American Horror Story: Freak Show as the mother of actress Gabourey Sidibe. While on the show she will apparently discover secrets revolving around Twisty, the serial-killer clown.

Sadly (and somewhat shockingly) LaBelle's role requires no singing. Which is really bizarre for a Ryan Murphy production.

The songstress will of course be joined by the returning and downright impressive cast comprised of Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy, Emma Roberts, Sarah Paulson and Jessica Lange.
