Patricia Arquette, Ron Livingston and Jeffrey Wright join 'Boardwalk Empire' season 4

The cast for HBO's most expensive series is about to get a little more expensive, as Boardwalk Empire adds three new, high-profile actors to its cast, according to Deadline.

Patricia Arquette has joined the crime drama in a major recurring role as Sally Wheet, described as "a tough-as-nails Tampa speakeasy owner with connections to local gangsters." This marks Arquette’s first major series role since Medium came to an end after seven seasons across both NBC and CBS.

Meanwhile, Jeffrey Wright will join the cast as Valentin Narcisse, Doctor of Divinity. The character is said to be "a philanthropist, student of culture and the man who runs Harlem." Wright recently wrapped work on the upcoming sequel, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Lastly, Ron Livingston will play Roy Phillips, "a wealthy out-of-town businessman who catches the eye of Gillian Darmody (Gretchen Mol)." The role marks Livingston's return to HBO, where he starred in Sex And The City, Band Of Brothers and Game Change.

Boardwalk Empire Season 4 will premiere later this year.
