Following Paris Jackson's tragic suicide attempt, the 15-year-old daughter of the late Michael Jackson is expected to undergo a long recovery process, both physically and psychologically. However, this isn't expected to interfere with her burgeoning film career, according to a producer on her first feature film, Lundon's Bridge and the Three Keys.

Author Dennis Christen, who wrote the book upon which the upcoming film is based, in addition to being a producer on the film, tells Us Weekly that the project is still moving forward. "We are confident that when we are ready to roll the cameras, she will be ready for the task," said Christen. "Paris is very important to us and we all love her deeply. Any comment about her private life will have to come from her family."

Funding and pre-production has wrapped, meaning that filming is expected to begin relatively soon. Christen states, "Paris will do a delightful job in her role . . . She's been concentrating on developing her acting skills and is becoming a very proficient actor."

Late Tuesday, the troubled teen cut herself with a meat cleaver, took 20 Motrin pills and left a suicide note. "She has major depression issues, a lot of it stemming from her dad's death," said one source close to the situation. Though Jackson is now "physically fine" and safe in an L.A. hospital, her mental health remains at the forefront of everyone's concerns.

"We wish her the very best as she works through this difficult time," Christen adds. "She knows that she has millions of fans out there that love her deeply and only want happiness for her."
