Paris Bennett - Has a Baby Girl Egypt

Former American Idol Star Paris Bennett Has a Girl (People.com)

American Idol's Paris Bennett has welcomed a baby girl, her rep said in a statement Monday.

Egypt Bennett, who was born at 3:36 p.m. Monday afternoon, weighed in at 5 lbs., 15 oz.

"I'm so excited to finally see my little angel – and man, does she have lungs on her," the first-time mom said. "I guess she's gearing up to be the next American Idol."

What's up with the "our baby's got lungs" on him or her comment? This is the same quote Clay Aiken had about his baby. LOL Hello -- of course they have lungs -- they're HUMAN and they're CRYING. Babies cry, hello??? Anyway, the Bennett family is still hoping that their family will produce the next American Idol.

Congratulations Paris!
