'Outlander' Returns In April 2015, But Until Then, Here's a Teaser (VIDEO)

Outlander proved to be one of the more surprising hits on TV this year. The romance/fantasy/history drama based on the Outlander book series by Diana Gabaldon centers on an accidental time-traveler named Claire (Caitriona Balfe) who finds herself transported back to Scotland, where she lands smack dab in the middle of a Scottish civil war. But hey, at least there's super-handsome Jamie (Sam Heughan) to keep her company. Of course, things are likely to get worse for the couple before they get better, as evidenced by this short teaser trailer.

The video features a foreboding warning from Colum Mackenzie (Gary Lewis), along with a tearful declaration from Claire to Jamie. Although the show doesn't return for the second half of its first season until April 2015, Starz will air a marathon of the first season so far on Christmas Day, making the holidays the perfect time to get visiting relatives and other loved ones hooked on Outlander.
