'Outlander' Returning to Starz in April 2015

This Saturday, the midseason finale of Outlander will air on Starz. The fantasy drama, based on the Outlander book series by Diana Gabaldon, has been one of the network's biggest hits. So big, in fact, that Starz has already renewed the show for a second season of at least 13 episodes. However, when will the show return to finish out Season 1?

Starz has confirmed that Outlander will return for the final eight episodes of its 16-episode first season on April 4, 2015.

Outlander tells the story of a married World War II nurse who is mysteriously transported back to Scotland circa 1743, where she meets and falls in love with a rugged Highland warrior. Last week’s episode, “The Wedding,” was the highest-rated episode yet, raking in 3.8 million viewers. Will the show be able to maintain the same stellar ratings in the Spring? Time will tell. (Pun intended.)
