Did you like the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards? No? Well, how about the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show featuring Beyoncé and Destiny's Child? If you liked either of those events, you're in luck with the latest announcement from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The 86th Academy Awards will be directed by Hamish Hamilton, an accomplished helmer of big events. Hell, he's even directed the Oscars before! The Emmy-nominated Hamilton directed the 82nd Academy Awards in 2010, with hosts Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin.

Producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron not only have Hamilton on board, but they also have shored up their full team for the high-profile Oscar telecast: choreography will be handled by Tony-winner Rob Ashford, while William Ross will serve as music director. Kristin Gore (Futurama), Amy Ozols (Late Night with Jimmy Fallon), and Jon Macks (The Tonight Show with Jay Leno) have been added to the writing team, and -- of course -- Ellen DeGeneres will steer the ship in front of the camera as Oscar host.

The 86th Academy Awards air live March 2 on ABC.
