'The Osbournes' Revival In the Works at VH1

The reality show family that arguably started it all is heading back to TV. Well, maybe.

A revival of The Osbournes is reportedly in the works at VH1, the sister channel of MTV, the show's original network. The series aired for three seasons beginning in 2002, and became a pop culture phenomenon that made stars out of Ozzy's family, from wife Sharon Osbourne to children Jack and Kelly.

No word just yet on when the show will premiere, but Sharon Osbourne indicated on The Talk that the show would air between six and eight episodes. Nothing official has been released on VH1's end just yet, so whether it actually makes it to air or not is anyone's guess, but the network is reportedly in the final negotiations to make things official.

Given that we're in an era of reboots and revivals (for example, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? is coming back to FOX. Hell, even Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous is getting a revival, for crying out loud), this might as well be one of those revivals. If only because things are, presumably, actually happening in the lives of each respective family member now.
