Original 'Flash' Star Amanda Pays to Reprise Role on CW Series

Amanda Pays has been working in TV since 1984, appearing in everything from The X Files to Nip/Tuck and Psych. Yet it's her role as Dr. Tina McGee on CBS's The Flash that she is perhaps best remembered for, despite nearly 25 years having passed since first being broadcast. It's because Pays is still remembered that she's being brought back for The CW's version of the series.

Pays will return as Dr. Tina McGee, who was the sidekick of the original Flash, Barry Allen, who was played by John Wesley Shipp. Shipp will also be appearing on The Flash, but as the father of this Barry Allen. Naturally, this would create a strange continuity hiccup in the event that Shipp's character were to ever encounter that of Pays, since one is playing their original Flash role, while the other is playing someone else entirely. in the Arrow spinoff.

Tina will "appear as an employee of a rival Very Big Science Company," which I'm sure won't be sinister at all. Nope. Not one bit.

The Flash premieres October 7th on The CW.
