One Direction Wins Right to Their Name

One Direction will get to keep their band name after settling a legal dispute with a U.S. band that had previously trademarked the name.

British boy band and The X Factor UK runners up One Direction have reached an "amicable" resolution to their legal dispute with the U.S. rock band, which will now be known as "Uncharted Shores."

A joint statement issued on behalf of both groups said: "All of the parties involved are pleased with the resolution and wish each other success."

Sounds like a happy ending to me.  One Direction gets to keep their name, Uncharted Shores most likely got a nice chunk of change and a name more suitable to a "rock band."  Everybody's happy.  Yay!
