One Direction to Guest Mentor on The X-Factor Australia - Video

One Direction will appear as guest mentors on The X Factor Australia in September.  The show has reportedly been tasked with creating the next boy band sensation.

Although fans appear to be already tiring of the comparison, it looks like Simon Cowell is banking on The X Factor UK's biggest international success One Direction, being able to mentor Aussie boy band wannabe's What About Tonight to similar success.

The fourth season of "The X Factor" Australia" premiered on August 20, 2012 on Australia's Channel 7. And viewers are having mixed reactions to the show's obvious attempt to portray "X Factor" Australia boy band What About Tonight as Australia's answer to One Direction. In September 2012, viewers will get to see how One Direction reacts to What About Tonight when One Direction is shown being a guest mentor on the show.

One Direction came in third place on "The X Factor" U.K. in 2010. Since then, the group has become the biggest global act to emerge from "The X Factor," by having No. 1 hits and sold-out tours in several countries.
