Once Upon A Time - The Thing You Love Most - Recap
It's safe to say The Queen (Regina) and Emma won't be best friends anytime soon. She's doing her best to make sure that Emma is out of Henry's life and away from her and Storybrooke.
It's almost like a bad neighbor dispute. Regina is doing everything she can to continue to have Emma arrested. I guess constantly needing to be bailed out of jail is a good enough reason to leave town?

She sets Emma up for theft, kicks her out of the hotel she's staying in, and messes with her car. So far, all Emma has been able to do is cut off a branch of Regina's precious apple tree. Those apples look amazing and now I really want one. Hold the poison. It seems like Regina gets a checkmate when she arranges for Henry to overhear Emma calling him crazy.
Unable to turn to anyone, Emma grows closer to Snow White/Mary. She has no idea that this is her birth mother and Henry's grandmother. Mary can't explain why she feels so close to Emma and almost feels like she's met her before. Perhaps it's her encouragement that makes Emma go back to Henry to apologize and vow to fight against Regina.
Back in fairy tale land, we learn how the evil curse came to be. The Evil Queen didn't even possess it at first. She had traded it for the curse she used on Snow White. Yes, that curse. She made the trade with Maleficent (guest star Kristin Bauer), her superior rival. Unwilling to put such a powerful curse in the hands of the Evil Queen, the two of them fight for it. Unfortunately, we know that The Queen wins.
She first casts the curse and is confused when it doesn't work. She runs to Rumpelstiltskin demanding to know why. He makes a deal with her to give her the information she needs. The Queen needs to rip out the heart of the one she loves most. She barely hesitates to yank out her father's heart. Also named Henry. Did she name present day Henry after him after some sort of remorse? Or is there some kind of magic at play that I'm not catching? Will "Mr. Gold" demand Regina's end of the bargain is held up? Does he remember and know what's going on in Storybrooke?
