'Once Upon A Time' recasts Robin Hood

Season three of Once Upon A Time is getting a new guy to steal from the rich and give to the poor.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the role, played last season by Merlin's Tom Ellis, will now be played by Sean Maguire. Scheduling conflicts prevented Ellis from returning to the role, explained series co-creator Adam Horowitz.

“Although we love Tom Ellis, unfortunately he wasn’t available,” said Horowitz. “We remain huge fans of his, but because we have an arc planned for the character, we had to move forward.”

Season three of Once Upon a Time premieres Sunday, Sept. 29, at 8:00 PM ET. on ABC.
