'Older' Glee Cast to leave in 2012

Glee creator Ryan Murphy says that some of the show's stars -- the older ones in particular -- will graduate from McKinley High School in 2012.

I think that's too long a wait. Lea Michele looks old enough to be Mr. Schue's wife and Mark Salling unfortunately has been looking like a rough old man lately (though I still love him).

GLEE creator Ryan Murphy says he expects some of the stars of his hit music show to leave at the end of 2012.

Glee centres on the teachers and students of fictional McKinley High and Murphy wants the show to replicate a real high school with older students graduating and replaced by new faces.

Murphy has introduced Chord Overstreet as Sam Evans in the current second series to start the process.

"Every year we’re going to populate a new group," Murphy says. "There's nothing more depressing than a high schooler with a bald spot."
