Official American Idol Forums MyIdol To Shut Down

American Idol is closing their official MyIdol community forums on October 31, 2011. The scary boards are no more! Long live the scary boards!

Hopefully, I won't be banned in a future version of their forums.

From American Idol:

The current MyIdol community -- which includes live forums, blogs, profile pages, and commenting -- will be deactivated Monday, October 31, 2011. But don’t worry, development for the updated community is already underway!

This update is a response to the changing ways in which fans like you prefer to interact with the show and with AmericanIdol.com. We’re excited about these new features and look forward to rolling them out soon. In the meantime, please "Like" us on Facebook and follow @AmericanIdol on Twitter for the latest news, show info, and photos straight from the set. By following us, you'll be the first to know when the new community is up and running.

If you have photos, blogs, or any other content within MyIdol that you don’t want to lose, be sure to save it to your personal computer before 10/31 as that content will no longer be accessible.

Thanks for making MyIdol the number one official online community for American Idol! Please continue to visit AmericanIdol.com often for all the latest photos, videos, news, and more!
