Offering Me Wine Aye?
I bought some wine yesterday, and had some with dinner last night. It was very good wine, a Castle Rock Pinot Noir from Sonoma County. Incredibly it went well with my Filipino-style meal of steamed rice, pork and chicken adobo, mung bean stew and fried dried salty fish. Dried fish with Pinot Noir. Amazing.
This afternoon, I used the left over wine in cooking some sauteed ground veal with tomatoes and bok choy. Bok choy? Well, it turned out great. Apparently, the wine is absolutely delicious, and I will buy some more in the near future.
This Pinot Noir now goes into my very short list of value wines that I would look out for in the wine store:
Peter Lehmann Barossa Shiraz
Rosemount Estate Shiraz (and Shiraz Cabernet)
