NYPD launches Police Brutality awareness campaign on Twitter #myNYPD
The NYPD launched a campaign on Twitter today to promote police brutality awareness.
Well, it really didn't start off that way, but that's what they did.
The good guys running @NYPDnews wanted people to post photos of themselves with members of the NYPD using the hashtag #myNYPD. They even included an example:

It started innocent enough. But when the organization you work for is not innocent, things can go wrong really fast.
For the past few hours, users submitted photos of the NYPD in their many acts of police brutality. Obviously, that's probably what a lot of people think of when they see "My NYPD".
I'm still upset at that cop shooting that dog.
