No Glee Spinoff - Graduating Characters To Stay

FOX boss Kevin Reilly confirms that there will not be a Glee spinoff anytime soon and that graduating cast members will be sticking around for season 4. A show within a show?

“Here’s whats going on with Glee,” Reilly told the press at the Television Critics Association winter tour on Sunday. “We are graduating the characters that are [due] to graduate, and what’s come out of it is [series boss] Ryan [Murphy] and the guys have come up with a really cool idea.

“There will not be a Glee spinoff,” Reilly continued, “but those characters will graduate and it’s led to a very interesting idea that I think is gonna really give us something cool to dig into next season.”

Reilly offered no further details other than to say that the retention plan for the graduating characters will be laid out toward the end of the current season. He also confirmed that “graduating” cast members including Lea Michele will remain with the show going into Season 4 next fall.
