Nigel Lythgoe takes advice of fans on 'So You Think You Can Dance' elimination

Nigel Lythgoe announced on Twitter that So You Think You Can Dance 10 will follow the advice of fans to reveal America’s vote at the beginning of the show and eliminate dancers at the end.

This week, the show eliminated two dancers at the top of the show but still made them dance their regular routine. This caused a lot of fans to vent on Twitter, calling the new format “dumb” and “cruel.” As usual, Nigel was defensive, calling out some fans “stupid” like he normally does for American Idol fans. (He's passive-aggressive that way for those not familiar.)

I tweeted Nigel that he should just follow the format of America's Best Dance Crew: reveal the bottom dancers at the beginning then let them dance their normal routine as if it’s their “dance for their life”. And then eliminate at the end of the show.

It looks like Nigel is going to follow just that.

Now what needs clarification is that Nigel suggested that he doesn't really "judge" even if he's on the judging panel. He tweeted that he has "no say" in the decision process of who leaves but the judges and the choreographers do. So isn't he a judge himself? That was an odd tweet.
