It's Wig Wars 2014!

A celebrity hair stylist is suing Nicki Minaj for $30 million, claiming she stole his designs for the eccentric, colorful wigs that have become the rapper's fashion signature.

Terrence Davidson, the stylist in question, filed the lawsuit in federal court in what is being billed as the first-ever intellectual property dispute over wigs.

“She lied, cheated, she stole from him,” Christopher Chestnut, an attorney for Davidson, told The Associated Press. “That’s a misappropriation of his intellectual property.”

The 41-year-old Davidson first began working for Minaj in 2010, and their partnership ended just over a year ago. However, Davidson claims Minaj didn't take long to begin pilfering his designs. He declared Minaj “took a number of his popular wig designs, without his consent, and used them to start her own wig line.”

A representative for Minaj could not be reached for comment, possibly because Minaj is encased in a fortress of multicolored wigs that shield her from negative press inquiries.
