Bravo loves some wedded bliss.
The network has renewed Newlyweds: The First Year for a second season. From production company Monkey Kingdom and Oscar-nominated documentarian Eddie Schmidt ("Twist of Faith"), the reality series follows newlywed couples as they navigate the highs and lows of commitment in an era where 50% of all marriages end in divorce.
Season two will feature four new couples, whose married lives will be documented from their wedding day to their one-year anniversary. The paths of the four couples never cross, but their experiences share the common thread of married life's many trials and triumphs.
There is no timetable for the premiere of season two just yet, but season one has already been a considerable success for Bravo, averaging over 1.3 million total viewers over the course of its freshman run.
