New York from the Empire State Building

I might try this again just to get a night shot. My sister, nephew and I went to the Empire State Building as part of the 'tourist-leg' of their trip here. I also brought them earlier in the day to the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory which had a great view of downtown and the Brooklyn Bridge.

I generally hate doing these tourist tours with friends or family since the one time I did the tourist-thing for myself in New York, it was pretty traumatic. I ended up throwing up at the end of the day due to heatstroke and dehydration and there was not a single good memory from my experience with the people I was with. In the end, I had no memory of the dozen or so 'must-see' places we visited in the city, and all I remember was how miserable I was throughout the day.
