New Xbox Experience

Xbox Live rolled out the New Xbox Experience today and I like it!

After a quick download of the new Xbox dashboard software, I was prompted to make my personalized avatar -- just like in Rock Band. I immediately thought: "Uh-oh, another time waster..." Nothing can suck your time in like customizing your avatar. Thankfully, the choices for clothes and other features are not that huge so you can just choose the most decent looking shoes and that's it.

An interesting twist is that the Friends List now show the avatars of your friends if they've made one -- and it's a study in how a person envisions himself or herself online. Oh so you're a punk-rocker online huh?

I still have to fiddle around with all the other features like the much-hyped Netflix HD streaming, but so far, I just loved my Xbox 360 a little bit more this morning.
