Semifinal 1 Results

Well, they blew off Ricky without too much fanfare, so he is out for the count, I fear.

Alexis is told she is in, and she sings again. It is as good as last night, and still lacking a bit for me. Actually, she might even be better tonight.

The cannon-fodder is dismissed pretty much.

They bring Michael the Roughneck and Anoop-Dawg up, and Michael gets thru, and Anoop doesn't. That is surprising - Ryan says there is 20,000 votes separating them. I suspect they will try to give Anoop a wildcard.

Michael sings 'I Don't Wanna Be' and it is just as bad as last night.

Carly Smithson and Michael Johns sing 'The Letter,' and Carly reminds me why I loved her last year. Michael reminds me I thought he was a cheeseball.

Blew off 3 cannon fodder with the blink of an eye.

Gokey vs Tatiana is the final pairing. Like I think they are killing the Second Coming. Right. Tatiana is heartbroken, and the Widower is thru.

He sings, and it is even worse than last night. At least for me. I can't get over the fact that the anointed King has phlegm caught in his throat - seemingly on a permanent basis.
