New Nicki Minaj Album, 'The Pinkprint', Pushed Back to December
Nicki Minaj's third studio album is still right around the corner, although it's no longer as close as we thought. The Pinkprint, which had been scheduled to release on November 24, has now been pushed back to December 15.
However, Minaj is assuaging concerns about the album's delay by releasing a new single today, October 28. "Only", which is the follow-up to the viral hit "Anaconda", will feature Drake, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown, and will offer a taste of what's to come in December.
According to an interview with MTV News, The Pinkprint will take the rapper in a new direction artistically, allowing her to not only implement a new sound, but also tackle heavier subjects: “In the features, I don’t really delve into no really deep s***. And with the album…there’s so much for me to talk about. I know my fans are going to be excited about it.”
No word on why the album was pushed back, but if anyone wants to speculate in the comments, we're eager to hear your theories.
