New iPad
So I bought a new iPad. I just walked to the nearest RadioShack in New York City and bought one. I'm surprised it wasn't sold out. Is this new version a dud? Isn't it supposed to be the latest and greatest thing? Anyway...
So why did I buy one after a couple of years of being anti-upgrade-your-hardware-every-year-Apple? Well, you guys basically forced me to.
Rickey.org has a very high mobile browser use compared to other Web sites. About 20% of all traffic to the blog right now are from mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, Android, etc). About half of that is from the iPhone, 1/4 iPad and 1/4 Android. The average mobile access on the Web is 8.5% (according to StatCounter).
I'm in the middle of re-designing the blog (again) to cater to mobile users, and I thought it was time that I had a device to test things on. Since my phone is already running Android, it seemed like a perfect time to get an Apple device.
See? I'm thinking of you guys. This iPad's for you! :)
Note: I haven't opened the box yet since I'm just recovering from the shock of seeing so many drunk people outside for St. Patrick's Day.
