NBC Up Front - Highlights & Announcements - Smash & The Voice

Today, May 14, 2012, NBC hosted its Up Front session to talk about its hit shows, cancellations and upcoming seasons. President Robert Greenblatt led the event with many big-name stars stepping in for various segments.

Smash stars Katharine McPhee and Megan Hilty performed "Let Me Be Your Star" while The Voice coaches (Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine) appeared in their spinning chairs. Also, Jermaine Paul took to the stage to perform "I Believe I Can Fly." McPhee returned at the end to perform "Stand" with Leslie Odom.

According to Deadline, The Voice will return on September 9 -- presumably at 8 PM EST. Rickey.org previously reported that several changes will be made to the format of the show -- including adding the spinning chairs to the battle rounds. Also, a new slew of coaches are in the works for the 2013 spring season.

So far, I’ve compiled the highlights, info and announcements regarding Smash and The Voice. I’ve also included those tweets.
