NBC orders Hillary Clinton miniseries starring Diane Lane
Move over Scandal, another presidential drama is headed to primetime - albeit a miniseries. Who is it about? None other than the essential 2016 candidate!
NBC is planning a four-hour miniseries about Hillary Clinton. At the Television Critics Association, the network announced the project which is title Hillary. Actress Diane Lane has been cast as the former first lady, while Smilin' Bill's portrayer has yet to be determined.
Reportedly, the miniseries "will recount the life and career of the former first lady and secretary of state from 1998 to the present." NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblat says the air date has also not been determined, but would "likely air before Clinton might declare her candidacy for the Democratic nomination for president."
