NBC Orders Additional Episodes of 'Sean Saves the World'

Though it came into the fall season with NBC's hopes riding on its shoulders, Sean Saves the World quickly faltered and became one of the season's likeliest cancellations in the comedy genre. However, the show has made significant gains in the past few weeks, such as this past Thursday's 27% increase in viewership.

It is perhaps this development that has given NBC confidence, as the network has ordered five additional episodes of Sean Saves the World. It may not be a full season order, such as the one handed down to The Michael J. Fox Show, but at least it isn't a cancellation, such as the one handed down to Welcome to the Family.

This additional five-episode order brings Sean Saves the World's freshman run to 18 episodes.
