NBC cancels 'Betty White's Off Their Rockers'

Although Betty White has brought NBC ratings gold in recent years in the form of a high-profile hosting gig on Saturday Night Live along with two televised birthday specials, the network has opted not to renew Betty White's Off Their Rockers for a third season.
The reality series, for which White snagged a rare Emmy nomination for Best Reality Show host in 2012, is a practical joke show in which old people prank young ones. In its first season, the show delivered 12 million viewers and a 2.6 rating in the coveted 18-49 demo, though it quickly dropped below that high, going on to average a relatively paltry 5.3 million viewers and a 1.5 rating in its second season. On Tuesday, the season finale was down 33% in the demo compared with last season, though it was up 25% from the July 2 series low.
However, despite the cancellation, Betty White isn't exactly lacking for work. The comedy legend will continue on her TV Land series Hot In Cleveland, which is about to reach 100 episodes later this season.
