NBC has officially set the premiere date for the new season of reality singing competition The Sing-Off.

Season 4 of The Sing-Off will officially premiere on Monday, December 9 at 9:00 PM ET, the network announced in a press release. The program features the nation's top a cappella groups performing unique interpretations of popular hits, with no lip-syncing, back-up bands or music tracks. The groups will compete each week for America's vote in the hopes of earning a recording contract and $100,000.

Nick Lachey, fresh off his stint on NBC's fourth singing competition (if you count America's Got Talent), will return as host. As for the judges, Jewel will join the panel which already includes Ben Folds and Shawn Stockman, who are both returning.
