MTV Orders New Singing Competition, 'Copycat'

No more "making it your own," "showing your originality," or "proving you're an artist"! MTV just wants copycats!

MTV has officially announced it has ordered Copycat, a half-hour karaoke singing competition in which contestants will be judged on how closely they can imitate their favorite songs and artists.

In the competition, the studio audience will be the judge, voting on each individual performance to determine which singer will ultimately earn a cash prize and the title of “Ultimate Copycat”.

There is no news yet on when Copycat will premiere or when the casting process will begin (if it hasn't already), so make sure to keep your Katy Perry impression tight at all times, just in case.
