MTV Challenge star Diem Brown Dead at 32

After a long battle with cancer, MTV's The Challenge star Diem Brown has died at age 32.

"MTV is tremendously sad to hear the news that Diem Brown has lost her long battle with cancer," MTV said in a statement. "We send our deepest condolences to her family and friends. Diem was a true fighter and brought passion to everything she touched. We will miss her."

First diagnosed with ovarian cancer at age 23, Brown had an ovary, some lymph nodes, and part of a Fallopian tube removed. In the aftermath of her surgery, she took part in MTV's Real World/Road Rules Challenge in Australia. However, in 2012, the cancer returned, and spread to her colon. Not long after, Brown learned that the cancer had tragically spread to her liver and lymph nodes.

On Tuesday, Brown asked her Twitter followers for "prayers, advice, support & outreach" while hospitalized in New York. However, three days later, she passed away at 10:22 AM. In September, Brown told PEOPLE Magazine about her struggle. "It sounds like a cliche, but I've only got this one life," she said. "I need to live every day to the fullest."

Brown was an inspiration to many, and our condolences are with her family and friends at this difficult time. She was a real fighter. R.I.P.
