Morrissey Reveals That He's Been Battling Cancer, Undergoing Treatments
After being perpetually ill and cancelling tours left and right, Morrissey has revealed that he's been diagnosed with cancer, which he is already being treated for.
In a Spanish language interview, Moz revealed in true Morrissey fashion, "They have scraped cancerous tissues four times already, but whatever."

"If I die, then I die. And if I don’t, then I don’t. Right now I feel good. I am aware that in some of my recent photos I look somewhat unhealthy, but that’s what illness can do."
He continued, "I’m not going to worry about that, I’ll rest when I’m dead." (Yes, this is a statement he made and not a Smith's song.)
Continuing with his self-deprecating comments, the 55-year-old went on to explain, "[I'm] now at an age when I should no longer be making music … Many composers of classical music died at age 34. And I’m still here, and nobody knows what to do with me."
Morrissey is currently putting the finishing touches on his debut novel and joked of its future publication, "With luck I will be able to stop singing forever, which would make many people happy!"
Despite all this (and a respiratory infection in June of this year), he's still set to begin a European tour for his solo album World Piece is None of Your Business in Madrid on Oct. 9.
Get better soon Moz!
