Modern Family - Virgin Territory - Recap

Alex ruins Phil's day. On a trip to the mall with the girls, Alex lets slip that Haley is no longer a virgin. Phil takes it like any dad would. It's the worst news in the world.

He tries to be a cool dad and not be completely freaked out but fails. Turns out that by just giving his daughter a hug and telling her he trusts her, Haley couldn't ask for more.

Mitchell is also a day ruiner when he tells Jay he never got a hole in one at golf back in the day. That he lied to make him happy and actually kicked the ball in himself. Jay is crushed because he was always so proud of himself for that one. It doesn't help when Mitchell shows up to the club to apologize and accidentally spills the beans to all of Jay's friends. They share a beer and call it a day. I love their father/son moments.

While Gloria and Claire are out bonding over the fact that Claire shoots guns to relieve stress, Cam pretends to be hurt on the couch with a bad back. What he's really trying to do is search Claire's kitchen for an old piece of tupperware of his that she never returned. After completely demolishing the kitchen, you could say he's successful. At least he found the tupperware. Minus the lid.
