Modern Family - Slow Down Your Neighbors - Recap

Claire is on a rampage after a neighbor continues to break the law by speeding throughout the neighborhood. She takes it upon herself to walk the streets with a megaphone, shouting at the lunatic to slow down. It doesn't have the effect she hopes and even considers letting the police do their job. She decides to take it up a notch and has signs with the speeder's license plate printed up and pins them around town.

Things start to look up for Phil when he gets welcome news about making a difficult home sale. His happiness dwindles when he realizes the lady he's working for is the lunatic that has been speeding and making Claire so crazy. He struggles to keep her identity from Claire while feigning helping her catch the culprit. When Claire finally gets her chance to chase the car, she ends up in her house while Phil is working. Not knowing who she is, things get awkward when she accepts a ride home.

Jay is shocked to learn that Manny was never taught how to ride a bike. He immediately gets rid of his training wheels and is delighted when Manny does well. He's not so happy that his wife, Gloria, is petrified of bikes. She believes riding a bike is an easy way to get kidnapped. She doesn't take to a bike quite as well as Manny and ends up in some bushes. She's quite the disaster and she thinks Jay is at fault. She turns to Phil for help learning but when he's busy, Luke offers to teach her. Teaching to Luke means grabbing a huge Super Soaker and dousing Gloria with water until she's gliding down the street on two wheels.

Cam and Mitchell are surprised when they find a gorgeous guy using their hot tub. Before they can confront him, he stands up and shows off his amazing assets and they end up in the tub with him. Cam is quite taken by Barry and honestly, who can blame him? It's James Marsden after all. Mitchell isn't as thrilled with him. Barry deals with bringing out negative energy in people and that just makes him a kook in Mitchell's book. Cam criticizes Mitchell for being so judgmental with new friends so he decides to give him another chance. He lets Barry give him an energy massage and he enjoys it so much he invites Barry to dinner.

Cam is a happy clam that Mitchell is opening up to new people. Unfortunately, this particular person IS a kook. Cam discovers that Barry doesn't live in the upstairs apartment at all but has been sleeping in Lily's princess castle. When Cam goes to confront him in the playhouse, Barry goes nuts when Cam tries to touch him. Mitchell runs outside when he hears Cam's screams for 911 and runs for the phone. But not before telling Cam "I told you so."
