Modern Family - Punkin Chunkin - Recap

An old neighbor of Phil's visits after making it big. He credits all his success and riches to Phil's inspiration. Phil wonders why he hasn't become a millionaire yet if all his ideas are gold. In a land of delusions, Gloria has been building Manny up by constantly telling him everything he does is amazing and right. Jay thinks it's time for Manny to have a reality check when he makes a terrible centerpiece for the table and Gloria tells him it's great.

Mitchell is tired of Cam telling his "Punkin Chunkin" story to people. He doesn't believe the story is true and Cam never chunked a pumpkin across a football field. This launches Cam to prove that the Pritchetts are all a bunch of dream killers. The family goes to a football field to see Cam prove he can hurl a pumpkin across a football field. He can't. Claire, Mitchell and Jay feel kind of awkward and bad being so evil and encourage him to try again. Never give up on your dreams people. One day you too, can hurl a pumpkin into the side of a car.
