Modern Family - Phil On Wire - Recap

Cam has decided to go on a juice fast. This, of course means that Mitchell also has to suffer. Whether it be Cameron's crazy mood swings from a lack of food or a house devoid of junk food. Remember that time Cameron had the stretchy blue bike shorts? Oh yeah. It's gonna be a good episode.

Gloria is fed up with Jay's relationship with their dog. What happened to Gloria being in love with that dog and pampering him? Now she's chewing on Gloria's shoes and showering with Jay. Jay loves her so much he lets her slip in his bed instead of Manny. Gloria wants him to put more effort into disciplining the dog but to no avail. You just do not come between a man and his dog.

Phil has decided his new goal in life is to master a tight rope. Luke is supposed to be helping but is actually busy slowly going into a sugar coma after inhaling all of the junk food Cam and Mitchell can't eat. Luke pukes it all up and Phil gets himself a really tight pair of pants, a long pole, and he walks that thing like a pro. I'm rather surprised he didn't break anything. Oh, he broke windows, but I'm talking bones.

Mitchell is worried about Cam's mood swings when they have an important work party to go to. When his boss launches in to a story about being unable to save an animal in the ocean, Mitchell is the surprise. He snaps and starts bawling at the story in the middle of the party and Cam has to escort him out. For some reason they end up waist deep in the ocean and this is the funniest scene I've ever seen. Makes all those Emmy's worth it.
