Modern Family - Leap Day - Recap

Cam is a leap year baby. Mitchell feels the pressure to give Cam a perfect birthday party for his 40th. If it isn't just right, Mitchell will hear about it later. He plans an elaborate Wizard of Oz themed party for Cam and realizes all too late that it might be insensitive to his family suffering from tornado damage.

Mitchell frantically tries to come up with another party idea with 2 hours notice and crams the family onto a dock for a party on a boat. Unfortunately, there's too many people to accommodate and it gets out that Mitchell only booked the boat two hours earlier. Cam is hurt and when Mitchell points out that he's 40, Cam freaks out. He had been joking all day that he was really 10 since his birthday only comes around on the leap year. Mitchell helps Cam have the 10th birthday of his dreams and takes them all to the amusement park.

Phil's leap day plans of flying a trapeze at the amusement park come to a screeching halt when his worst nightmare is realized. All the women in his house have their periods at the same time. Emotional, crabby girls are now there to ruin his day. Phil tries to get Luke to help him escape the wild beasts that are apparently women, but they catch him in the act. They realize what he really thinks of them and don't let him forget it for the rest of the day. The tension makes Phil so crazy he starts to get emotional and rage like a girl on her period. He's one of them.
